Hope you all had a very merry christmas and welcome to 2012.

This year promises to be the best yet. This is the year we get to try the new track, thanks to some very enthusiastic people we have on board! Its been a long time planning, but they say we could be racing on the track in late feburary. It is looking fantastic, with a fair bit more speed and a lot more places for passing, which should make for some very exciting racing! ... But we still have a bit to go once the extensions are complete.  We can now look at our concrete dummy grid, now that we have the new track lay out sorted. We also hope to get our ford for better access into the pits.

If anybody knows of a container that may be cheap to buy please let us know as our current container is getting a bit full!

We are also looking at beautifying the area with trees and such like, if anybody would like to donate or plant their own tree it would be much appreciated! (natives preferrably).

On behalf of all us karters, a very special thanks to the committee and all involved in taking this club to the level we are at today!

Great job team!!!

See you race day,

Mike!

Ford - A shallow place where a river or stream may be crossed by wading or in a vehicle. :P

Hi there,

Been a while since I last raced at Te Aroha but am looking to get together a kart dedicated to the dirt. Daughter Gemma is keen to get involved so we are looking at setting up a kart to cover both of us to keep transport and running costs down. Loved every minute of racing there. Are there any pics of the new track layout? Track you had was good but an extension sounds awesome. Hope you are all having a blast down there and that the weather cooperates a bit more for you.

Regards,

Gordon

Weather looks promising for Sunday's open practice day- any change will be notified  as per usual, but looks to be safe for a start-  Mike will also include novice sections so newbies can feel at ease on the track.
