About Me

Lucy & I own and operate SwampEnd Karting, mainly to supply dirt karters.

We are the NZ agent for Rotax Jetting software.  We operate a great axle straightening service, engine reconditioning, dyno running in and testing. Yellow dirt air filters are always available.

We sell and service Yamaha, Rotax, PRD, Titan engines and of course, karts.

Our new SwampRat kart certainly gained some attention on its first two outings, winning its first race in the rain, under lights in  pretty good company.  Next day, three wins and two second placings gave us a meeting win at Rosebank Road.

Class-Rotax Heavies #6, Kart- Rotax/AX8 Arrows,

Opens #99, PRD Fireball/Arrows,

Lifan (Shifter) # 9 Lifan/Cavello

Driver-Bruce, engineer from Hamilton.

Raced here back in the 60's with Karl Fransen, the Giddy's, Forrest, Suisted's etc.

About Me
I'm a sucker for anything with wheels that requires alittle skill to either build or go fast in, I get alot of satisfaction from home engining and racing. I use to race a YZ 250 B on a FX Pro Kiwi in the 90s My first kart was a twin rail Brewan which I raced in the days of the 4 T's. The first track I ever raced on was Morrisville on the dirt

Kart collection has got bigger

Still have my Kiwi kart frame , being fitted with Grant Coweys old RMZ250 as a second shifter kart for myself or anyone wanting to try a shifter kart

Brought an ex Sprint kart with a Honda RS125 GP motor...really stupidly fast and an awesome kart to drive (once we stop destroying pistons - 2 so far...not a cheap excercise)...thanks to Mark Newman we have just about got it sorted...just need to get the right gear ratios now

Brought a KT100 Junior restricted kart for my son....he has driven it once (bit quicker than he thought it would be)...when I broke the Honda RS125 kart the second time I changed the sprokets and exhaust so I had a kart to race...having a blast in it....he may struggle to get it back off me

Have built a cadet kart for my son out of my first Kiwi kart frame so he can get used to racing and the track before I put him back into his KT100 junior restricted kart (if he can get it back off me)

Have now also brought an Intrepid KT100 - (so my boy can have his junior restricted back)

Went and brought an Anniversary AX6 KT100 - was going to sell it but son fell in love with it so now its his new restricted kart

Just so I could have a kart in all the classes (thats what I am telling myself to justify why I have so many karts) I went and brought Allen Olivers Top Kart Rotax...really looking forward to playing in the rotax class

May have a couple of KT100 kars for sale soon....dont really need 7 karts

Do need a bigger trailer though
